Like many other cities with strong philanthropic roots, Cleveland is a proud and industrious place that continues to play an important role in the history of civic engagement and community revitalization. The notion of equity planning began in Cleveland, and led to the incorporation of the first locally-based community development intermediary. Cleveland was home to the very first community foundation, and is the birthplace of Neighborhood Funders Group. Cleveland vigorously supports ideas like brownfields reclamation, community organizing, IDAs, livable wages, and other cutting-edge economic and community development strategies.
Cleveland is an ideal place for NFG members to meet, experience, share, debate, and learn! Join Us! Hotel rooms are available at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland City Centre Hotel at the special rate of $139. Call 216-771-7600 to reserve your room today.
