Investing in the Next Generation of Community Organizers and Social Justice Leaders
Tuesday, October 2, 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

Through expert presentations and facilitated discussion, this workshop will map the national landscape of funder investment (or underinvestment) in youth leadership and provide an overview of the problem from the perspective of community organizations and national activist/advocacy networks. Presenters will offer their direct experience with programs to recruit and retain talent in community-based organizations in New York, the Gulf Coast and other communities across the country. Participants will gain an understanding of current and potential youth leadership programs.
