2008 Annual Conference
October 1-3, 2008
The California Endowment
Center for Healthy Communities
Millennium Biltmore Hotel
Los Angeles, California
The NFG Annual Conference is a time for our members to connect, reflect and rejuvenate. This year’s host city, Los Angeles, has a unique philanthropic history stretching back generations. It serves as a microcosm for many of the critical issues facing our nation today. California foundations and nonprofits have been at the forefront in addressing these issues with innovative programs and policies. This year’s conference theme will focus broadly on poverty and the important role that foundations can play in addressing the social, economic and civic barriers that prevent low- and moderate-income urban and rural communities from attaining the American Dream. Please join us!
Conference Highlights:
- Networking with national experts and colleagues
- Learning Tours highlighting the innovative and significant work of local nonprofit organizations
- Dialogue Sessions: A new format for in-depth conversations between funders and nonprofits discussing topics related to our conference theme
- Pre- and Post-conference sessions
