Information Collection and Use

Neighborhood Funders Group is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Neighborhood Funders Group collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Publications Order Form

We request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address). This information is used for delivery instructions and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information may be used to get in touch with the user. We may use contact information collected through the order form to send communications about membership in NFG and/or our quarterly newsletter, NFG Reports.

Membership Application Form

We request information from the user on our membership application form. Here a user must provide contact information and broad information about the member organization's annual grants budget. The budgetary information is used to determine the member's dues level. All of the information provided in this form is used in aggregate to analyze trends, and may be provided to our funders, colleague affinity groups, and the Council on Foundations for statistical purposes. Members of NFG will receive occasional news bulletins and other notices (by email), our quarterly newsletter NFG Reports (by post), a copy of each new publication when it is released (by post), and dues renewal notices (by post or email).

Links

This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that Neighborhood Funders Group is not responsible for the privacy practices of other such sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement on the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Sharing

We may share aggregated demographic information with our funders and other organizations; this aggregate information is not personally identifiable. The personal contact information of non-members who use our website will not be shared with any other organization.

Members' contact information will be made available to other members through our password-protected online member directory. NFG also maintains a public list of its current members on our website; this list contains only the organization's name and a link to its website if applicable, and does not contain any personal information.

Occasionally we will send information to our members at the request of a colleague affinity group or a member organization.

Editing and Deleting Personal Contact Information

If a user’s personally identifiable information changes, or if a user no longer desires to receive information from us, we will correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us. This can be done by contacting us.

Notification of changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post these changes on this page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
