National Rural Funders Collaborative

The National Rural Funders Collaborative (NRFC) is a funding initiative to reinvest in and revitalize rural American communities faced with persistent poverty. Seven private U.S. foundations are leading NRFC activities to build partnerships with public and private funders and the communities they serve. The goal is to leverage $100 million over the next 10 years to expand the human, technical and financial resources needed for measurable improvements in the quality of life for rural communities and families. NRFC is an outgrowth of the Rural Funders Working Group, a forum of more than 200 rural funders and organizations sponsored by the Neighborhood Funders Group, and is organized as a project of Calvert Social Investment Foundation. For more information, visit the NRFC Web site at www.nrfc.org.
