Position Summary:

Rockefeller Family Fund (RFF) is seeking a program assistant to provide administrative and programmatic support to our Institutional Accountability and Individual Liberty (IAIL) program and general administrative support for the RFF, particularly regarding board meetings. 

The IAIL program encourages the active participation of citizens in government, seeks to make government and private institutions more accountable and responsive, and supports efforts to ensure that individuals’ rights and liberties under the Constitution are protected. The IAIL program’s current initiative, the Democracy & Power Innovation Fund (DPI Fund), supports organizations working to connect people of color and low-income people to their political power in ways that result in durable agency and voice in our democracy. The DPI Fund is focusing its resources to incubate, scale, and sustain innovative and effective best practices that prioritize effective people-first community organizing and the development and deployment of authentic, values-based messages and narratives linked to civic engagement. 

The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the program and administrative duties of the Associate Director for IAIL and administrative activities of the Rockefeller Family Fund. The Program Assistant is integral to the IAIL program and its projects and will be an important contributor to advancing RFF’s mission and program goals. This position is an opportunity to build solid professional skills and networks through engagement with nonprofits, foundations, and others committed to advancing democracy and social justice. This position is nonexempt and therefore is eligible for overtime.
