We are convening national and local funders to participate in the historic 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the 1965 Selma to Montgomery March for voting rights, and to explore the role of philanthropy in continuing and expanding the work for social justice and economic opportunity in Alabama and the Blackbelt region.

Logistics Hotel: The room rate is approximately $190 per night. GSP/NFG will make all hotel arrangements, and participants will be invoiced by NFG for their hotel stay.

Flights: It is best to fly into the Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM). We encourage you to purchase your plane tickets now because this is a small regional airport and flights are limited. In case flights are sold out: the Birmingham airport is roughly 90 minutes away and Atlanta’s airport is 2 hours away. 

The Funders delegation has been invited to several of the commemorative activities during the weekend. There are over 40 events over the course of the weekend. To review a full schedule of events please visit
